About Me

I'm a Full-Stack Developer based in Ludwigshafen am Rhein, Germany, with a background in web development, software engineering, and game design. I enjoy building end-to-end solutions and working seamlessly across various programming languages and web frameworks. Beyond just writing code, I value strong project management to ensure ideas actually make it to production efficiently and on time. When I’m not at my keyboard, I’m usually tinkering with electronics, keeping up with new tech, or tending to my garden. I also enjoy winding down with gaming, anime, and web novels. I speak fluent German and English, and I always aim to bring a practical, creative approach to the software I build.

What I do!

Web

I build responsive, dynamic web applications using modern front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and Svelte. On the back end, I am highly versatile. I am just as comfortable building fast, scalable architectures using Node.js, Deno, or Bun as I am working with PHP frameworks like Laravel and CakePHP. I also have strong experience customizing CMS platforms like WordPress and Drupal.

Software Development

Experience in developing software solutions across multiple platforms and languages.

Design / Creative

Proficient in design tools for creating visual content, from layouts to digital assets.

SysAdmin / DevOps

Experienced in server management, cloud platforms, and containerization.

Game Dev / Design

Experience in game development using various engines and frameworks.

Project Management

Experience in technical project management, planning, and team leadership.

Interests

Reading

I'm absolutely hooked on classical, web, and light novels. They're my go-to for endless enjoyment and inspiration, keeping my love for literature alive and thriving.

Terry Pratchet
J.R.R. Tolkien
H.G. Wells
George Orwell
Philip K. Dick
John Scalzi
Carlo Zen
Robert A. Heinlein
Joe Haldeman
J.L. Bourne
Klaus Seibel
Z. A. Recht
V.M. Zito
Max Brooks
Kugane Maruyama

Gaming

I don't game as much as I used to, but when I do, I find myself gravitating towards what some might call "old man game´s" like Factorio, Satisfactory, simulators, and tycoon games. Interestingly, tycoon games were my favorite genre when I first started gaming.

Factorio
Satisfactory
Capitalism Lab
Rimworld
Frostpunk
Surviving Mars
Farming Simulator
Cities: Skylines
Tropico
Prison Architect
Planet Coaster
Transport Fever
Big Pharma
Software Inc.
OpenTTD
Command & Conquer
Warcraft 3
Hitman

AI

I thrive on building with AI, focusing heavily on local-first architecture and integrating open-source models directly into desktop applications. From experimenting with foundational LLMs to deploying lightweight models natively via ONNX for real-time classification, I’m all about breaking free from SaaS walled gardens. I might not be training massive clusters from scratch, but I'm masterfully orchestrating them right on the edge.

Technology & Electronics

I love tinkering with electronics and writing low-level code for Arduinos and ESP microcontrollers. It's the physical hardware where my grand ideas usually meet reality. That said, my hands lack the steady precision required to be a soldering expert, meaning a career as a neurosurgeon is definitely off the table, and my desktop prototype wiring occasionally looks like a pirate's rigging.

Anime

I've been a big anime fan since beeing a child, especially during my days of odd jobs with irregular schedules. It was a great way to unwind. However, it seems I'm showing my age, as I now find myself mostly revisiting old favorites or series I read the manga or novel of years ago.

Manga

I was once deeply immersed in manga, but over time, I discovered that some of the series I loved had their origins in light novels. This revelation sparked a significant shift in my preference towards consuming novels.

Gardening & Plants

I seem to prefer plants that serve a practical or edible purpose, though I'm not entirely sure why.
